Bamboo coral is an environmentally friendly alternative to blood coral, which is now a protected species. Bamboo coral’s natural colour is yellowish white. To give it this beautiful red colour, it is dipped in or injected with a red dye. After dyeing, the bamboo coral beads are resin polished to give them their shine.
